Our project partner Dr. Brill Institutes Group is inviting Master students to apply for completing a thesis as part of the CRM-geothermal project.
As one of the leading providers of services in the field of applied hygiene, microbiology and virology in Europe, Dr. Brill Institutes Group operate a microbiological S2 laboratory for virological efficacy testing of disinfectants and antiseptics as well as a biocorrosion laboratory at their site in Bremen, where industrial damage cases are processed, and material tests are carried out.

Master student (f/m/d) for the challenging master thesis:
„Development of biotechnological Lithium Extraction Methods from Geothermal brines”
The position
You will write your Master’s thesis on the subject of „Development of biotechnological Lithium Extraction Methods from Geothermal brines”. The thesis should be written in the lab of Dr. Brill+Partner in Bremen during six months with 40 hours per week.
Through their participation in the EU-funded CRM geothermal project (Raw materials from geothermal fluids: occurrence, enrichment, extraction), Dr. Brill Institutes Group are contributing their expertise to secure Europe’s supply of rare raw materials in the medium and long term.

Requirements
- You are a Master’s student (f/m/d) of biology with a focus on microbiology or biotechnology
- The willingness and ability to work autonomously
- Good written and oral communication skills in German and English
- Confident in using a PC and have very good knowledge of common software (MS Office)
