Latest news
Project achieves new milestone: Adsorption materials successfully tested
The CRM-geothermal project recently achieved a major milestone, with significant progress in testing adsorption materials for lithium and strontium extraction. Trials were conducted using manganese dioxide and zeolite-based materials at GFZ and IzTech laboratories, alongside a field test at the Tuzla geothermal power plant in Turkey.
Learning from the CRM-geothermal social licence to operate consultation
In October 2024, the CRM-geothermal project hosted a consultation in Cornwall (UK) to gather the thoughts of local communities and other stakeholders on how dual geothermal-metal extraction projects can achieve ‘social licence to operate’ in the UK, EU and beyond.
Call for applications for CRM-geothermal Master thesis
